does anyone know how to embed a teachertube video in a wiki?
Mar 14 2008, 5:35 PM EDT
does anyone know how to embed a teachertube video in a wetpaint wiki? I tried using "Other Widget" but that didn't work. My school blocks youtube and google video but I'm hoping to convince them to unblock teachertube if I can get videos from there into my wiki.

On the Wetpaint toolbar, select to add a widget, select the “other widget” button. On TeacherTube you will find an embedded code. Simply copy and paste that code over to the add a widget on Wetpaint. Hope this helps.Happy Painting! Jonathan 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

you can go to www.savetube.com/tutorial.htm for instructions how to save a YouTube video. However, to avoid breaking copyright, as YouTube arenot the owners of the clips, you ould email the provider for permission first. Yu may also need to download the free flv player on this site, too.

you could also try hosting your videos at www.vimeo.com which isn't blocked in some school filters.

Although it appears that the embed code that vimeo generates doesn't work with wetpaint (just get a white box) anyone figured this out?here's the code <object width="400" height="300"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3017823&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3017823&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="300"></embed></object><br /><a href="http://vimeo.com/3017823">Restore Deleted Files</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user1213775">John Bullington</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>. Howabout, if using YouTube's own embed object code (cut and paste from the page showing the video) is this a wise choice for SEO. Or is there a better way to add the YouTube videos to an external site. Also of concern, if I run a browser compatibility check using Dreamweaver, it pulls up problems for the embed tag for certain versions of IE. Should I be worried? Regards SimpleLife http://www.simplelifedivers.com/scubainternshipsthailand/ Do you find this valuable? |
