Dear WetPaint,
I commend you on your age requirement. COPPA aside, research on brain development correlates "screen time" to health impairments. Balancing the influence of the digital age on the physical age is an appropriate question for innovators in the field to entertain.

Could you not add a section that requires the parent to put in their e-mail address along with the child's? I plan to use my education based site for my students to keep up with projects (especailly my ELA students! Peer editing on-line!) Although all of my 8th graders will be 13 some of my 7th graders will not. I set my wiki to private and require the parent to return a form that explains the wiki AND askes for their e-mail to set up their students' account (since they have to be invited to join). Yet now I have to have ads?!?!? Cannot wait until my 7th graders study sexual reproduction - I'm sure I'll have to stop using a great education resource. :(

We may well know of several mindmap wikis like mindmiester mindomo and others. They allow us to create a wiki mindmap. Interstigly enough, those mindmaps can also have links to articles, sites ..etc. for those who need to dig/explore an idea further.
Now what am I looking for. I would like to have a mindmap (still a wiki) to be tied to a web site (say a wetpaint wiki). Why is this important? Well, let's consider my case: I have a fresh idea... a very very fresh one. An idea that\s just starting out as a brainstorm... best way to host it is through a mindmap. With the mindmap being a wiki, I get to receive help from my collegues to add/modify to my brainstorming mindmap. Next, I would like to expand FROM THAT MINDMAP into a wiki site again for me and my colleague assistants to each elaborate and expand into each idea. I would like to invite others to view what we all built and provide their comments and suggestions. Those would eventually use the mindmap as a site map to guide themselves through the idea chart and click on an idea of interest to jump into the site for more details. Both the mindmap and the site are wiki's allowing collaboration on all levels of the project. I hope I made it clear. I tried numerous searches on google to find some thing like that but was not lucky ::( Only one example was available from "TheBrain" website (http://www.thebrain.com) who are using this slick tool as navigation tool for their website. But their mindmap is not a wiki and their software is also desktop- (not web-) based Wetpaint was also not so friendly to host a mindmap wiki (at least the one I tried to host from mindomo) If you've been into any of such tools, I appreciate sharing it. Other ideas are most welcome Thanks

Hey Guys/Girls, Josh here for the Wetpaint Wiki World. I just wanted to let you know that COPPA probably has a way that you can contact them regarding your wishes.. Maybe they can work something out.. Just saying. I am not saying they will or won't but it is always a possibility.
Thanks, Josh
