Our main application: The class is divided into groups of 3-5 people per group. Each group is assigned one page to create and another page to edit, and everyone is encouraged to help on any page. The anatowiki is the most recent site, and probably the best.

Teacherbob guildfordlives.wetpaint.com With an international group of ESL learners we planned the site in class. Students made questionnaires and researched local information that they could pass on to the next group of students. Different students had responsibility for different areas but could add to each other's.

Wayne B @ Werribee Community Centre www.wayneatwerrcc.wetpaint.com I teach computers, career planning and general education for adults. I use my wiki to provide notes for my students and learning activities. My students include youth at risk, esl, mature aged learners.
Terri -willinghamster@gmail.com Tampa Bay Mentor Match This is my first forray into wikis. I run a nonprofit education resource organization -- Learning is for Everyone - and I've long been interested in mentoring as way to build true community-based learning. Most mentoring programs I've found are for disadvantaged or troubled youth. I believe mentoring can benefit all youth (and those who mentor them!), and that many in our community would be happy to mentor if they had the opportunity. So I put Tampa Bay Mentor Match together to test my theory. :-) I'd appreciate others' thoughts and ideas.

How we use wikis in class - Wikis in Education
Students worked in five groups of four in our sixth grade humanities class to create their unique utopias known as "Geotopias".
I posted pictures of their 'Geotopias' on our wiki.
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the wiki to view the persuasive writing brochures and newsletters
exclaiming and persuading their classmates all the reasons why their Geotopia is the perfect place to live and/or visit on earth.
pleft Going flexible This is a simple text-based game I've developed in Mediawiki. It's designed as a problem-based learning resource for teachers learning about designing online courses.
Matt <sorry, private wiki> I've just set up a private wiki that fellow Specialist Classroom Teachers across several schools can use to discuss issues. Wiki needs to be private because of confidentiality. So wetpaint was ideal.
Ms. Birdsey Littlewood's Nature Guide This is on-line nature guide is maintained by 5th grade students and highlights the plants and animals found at our school's environmental center.
Elke writing homework in a wiki
(in Dutch)
My class looks up their homework assignments on the wiki, write their story,
and edit and comment on someone else's story. Then they read the comments on their own story and edit it.
How we use wikis in class - Wikis in Education
Our wiki is an additional tool for F2F classroom BCOM3113 at Oklahoma State University. We use it to share ideas for the service-learning project, post the syllabus and other handouts, and to communicate with each other outside of class.
Digiteach cyberclassroom.wetpaint.com Our classroom wiki is used as an e-portfolio of students work as well as a place to share our programmes of learning and collaborate on shared learning tasks. Check out the restaurant our year 7/8 students opened.
Al Tucker http://pickeringportfolio.wetpaint.com/ This site is an e-portfolio sample that illustrates to our students how to approach building a career portfolio. Elements include traditional portfolio items as well as writing samples, graduation project and job shadowing artifacts, as well as images and multimedia. This was my first attempt at wikidom.
eduWLUlibrarian http://teaching4learning.ca/drupal/educ-8/ Wkik for the school of education (teacher ed) at Wilfrid Laurier University.... it's how I communicate to my faculty/students
Miss Gill (Private) We currently have 6 year seven classes. Each class has it's own wiki. Students not only submit weekly homework (current affairs - PEC paragraphs) but submitt journal reflections, generate conversation about class tasks and had in formal assignments. Work done in class is added to the wiki. It is kept a reminder of the work we are doing in class. Students are also given different jobs, each student will have submitted and run a discussion.
One House Schoolroom One House Schoolroom I am a homeschooling parent and I am using wetpaint to teach a unit on multimedia. It will serve as a portfolio for classroom credit and may eventually become a collaborative effort with other students in the homeschool program. My student will learn how to design a website, showcase art projects, writing, learn about podcasts, video editing, powerpoint presentations, and editing photographs. We will review available online tools.
Mrs. Papineau Private I just started to use a wiki in my classroom and the kids now have the "tech" fever! I work with students who have medium to mild disabilities and rarely get the same tech opportunities as our general population. These students need the ability to learn how to use these resources to have more success in their future. We have been using it to journal our thoughts on a book we are currently reading. I plan on having post their book trailer videos they make and possibly pod-casts once we get going.
Mrs. Polselli's Grade 5 Wiki http://mpolselli.wetpaint.com Our Grade 5 classroom students think our wiki is the best place to go to on the internet when at home which is based around our grade 5 curriculum themes.
I teach ELA to 1 class and Math to 3 groups, and at our wiki, students have the opportunity to earn Free Homework Passes if students proove that they have visited links from the wiki and engage in the teaching tools on the sites. Check out the Student Spotlight page to connect to awesome internet sites for students.
Monicamgenta www.mgenta.wetpaint.com A great online resource offering students electronic versions of class power-points, mp3 downloads of original science parody songs, original science music videos, weekly class schedules, student spotlight, fun science games, picture slide-shows from labs, and so much more. Not to mention it is a fantastic route for teacher to student communication.
