Question of the momentWhy aren't kids under 13 permitted to register at Wetpaint?Protecting the privacy of our users and abiding by the regulations established by COPPA (The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act & Rule) is of critical importance to Wetpaint. The last thing that we want to do is prevent teachers of students under 13 from taking advantage of the benefits of using Wetpaint wikis in their classrooms, but we are committed to abiding by COPPA's requirements and protecting the privacy of children on the Internet. | Education Forum ArchiveCheck out answers to other Educator's questions, and add your own suggestionsHow to get students motivated to post? How can I share the syllabus with my students and parents and avoid users from editing the page? Not that a student would take something off and say it was never assigned.

How can I undo setting the template to parent-teacher association? I thought I was simply adding a new page to link to for parents, but it reconfigured everything.

Hi Mr Bartels,
I've just created a Wetpaint Wiki for my Grade 5 class. Do you know if there is a way I can create user logons for each of my students, rather than 'inviting' them via email. The emails go to their parents. I'm afraid if I send the 'invite' to parents, most parents won't be bothered creating a Wetpaint user account for their child, and hence that child won't be able to log in. Is there a way of me being able to create a user logon for each child? Kind regards Tricia (Australia) |

My question regards students' access to other discussion forums on Wetpaint. We want our students to create a wiki in Wetpaint, though there is a concern that by allowing access to Wetpaint, they will also be able to access discussion forums and other content within Wetpaint that could be deemed 'inappropriate'. Is it possible to set access to education wikis only?
