Education Ideation

This wiki was primarily used for an undergraduate instructional technology course at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. This course was designed for pre-service teachers working on their early childhood & elementary teaching certification. Check out the Instructional Technology course at:
http://www.educationideation.com/page/instechsu09Eric provided an initial structure for the wiki and course assignments. Then, his students took over. They used the wiki and personal blogs to discuss the course text (Angela Maiers' Classroom Habitudes), develop "how to" guides, and showcase classroom examples (Including creating their own Basal Readers [
http://www.educationideation.com/page/instechsu09+basal]). The core project for the first half of the course had students working in small groups to develop user guides for a variety of web tools (see: Using Technology to Design, Create and Collaborate [
http://www.educationideation.com/page/instechsu09+project+1]). During the second half of the semester, student groups used the guides to create a variety of classroom examples (see: Classroom Examples[
http://www.educationideation.com/page/instechsu09+examples]).
Students' active collaboration was evident when Education Ideation cracked the "Wet Paint 500" at number 331, with only 29 members. Eric also maintains the I Teach STEM wiki (
iteachstem.wetpaint.com) for secondary science teachers.
