I want to say thank you for making a wiki that is soooooo easy to use. I (and my students) love wetpaint.

I am deeply saddened that wetpaint can no longer offer the ads free wikis for teachers and schools. I fully understand the logistical nightmares that 1000 requests per week/day can create, but I would prefer to keep using wetpaint.

I know that some other wiki providers do have ads free wikis for educators (pbworks comes to mind).

May I make a suggestion? Modify the program to require that School administrators/IT supervisors for specific schools are the ony ones capable of requesting an ad free wiki. Have the schools request the wiki's, and then it will really lower the requests from individuals.

By setting it up to the school administrators I believe it is a much more workable situation. That is just MHO.

Thank you.

Will Jones.

Dear Jeff,
I understand that ads are taking longer to remove than the stated 2-day lag. However, in the absence of any estimate about removal times it's hard to know how long we should wait before nagging you about removing ads from our sites. It's roughly a week since I requested the removal of ads. The site I administer is http://londonmetpsychology.wetpaint.com
I hope my request is simply in a queue, but without any kind of acknowledgment it might just have been lost or deleted for all I know. Can you at least reassure me that it's being dealt with?
Thanks,
David

Is there a way to block threads and replies on certain pages? ... or from certain users? There are times when it is appropriate for two way communication with students and parents to be public and times when it is not. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks!
